Percentage squares - answers
1. Match these percentages to the shaded parts:
20%, 25%, 12%, 15%.

Correct answer:
12%

2. What percentage of the grid in question 1 is not shaded?
Correct answer: The part not shaded is 28%.
You can count the white squares to find this. Or you can add the shaded parts then take the total
away from 100.
Shaded parts total is 25% + 12% + 15% + 20% = 72%.
The whole grid has 100 squares. So take 72 away from 100.
100% - 72% = 28%.
3. Circle the diagram that does not show 40%.
