Dear members of the Oceania Karate Federation family,
On behalf of the Oceania Karate Federation Executive Committee (OKF EC), I would like to welcome you
to the Oceania Karate Championships, hosted by the New Caledonia Karate Federation.
I know that it is an honour for New Caledonia to be hosting this prestigious event, and I’m sure that the
organizing committee will do its utmost to offer the best facilities and services in order to make this a
most successful and memorable event. I have recently visited New Caledonia and I am happy to say that
the facilities are world class standard.
The NC EC hopes that in addition to the challenge of competition, you will find some time to explore the
great surroundings of New Caledonia.
It is important to recognise and acknowledge the World Karate Federation for their continuous support
to OKF.
Finally, I take this opportunity to wish all participants and coaches success at this important event. The
OKF EC is looking forward to seeing your wonderful talent and determination on the tatami.

New Caledonia CRK President
Dear friends,
It is now the turn of New Caledonia to have the honour of organising and hosting the 17th Oceania
Karate Championships. A real challenge that we will meet with the support of our clubs and teachers,
our volunteers, the French and Oceania Federation, Caledonian Institutions and private partners.
The ambition of the Regional Committee of Karate is to make this event a great time of sharing and
conviviality between all in Oceania, and a real sporting success. The level and the interest of the
competition will be high as it will be a qualifying event for the 10th World Games in 2017 in Wroclaw,
Poland. These Oceania Championships will also be an opportunity for New Caledonian karate to refine
its integration in the Oceania region.
Rest assured that our most ardent desire is to propose to all delegations, the best conditions of
accommodation, training and competition. New Caledonia, the land of welcome, will live up to the
expectations of this prestigious sporting event, so that each of you will preserve beautiful memories of
participation and of our country.
