The apartments have community entryways that needed new lighting and pillars installed. This has taken us months to complete but the results are amazing. Check out our before and after photos. Memorial Day celebrated on May 30th for almost a century until 1968 when it was changed to the last Monday in May. 3. The Minute of Silence is observed at 3pm local time every Memorial Day. It became law in 2000. 4. An estimated 267,000 small American Flags are placed at the graves of service members buried at Arlington National Cemetery. 5. It takes about 3 hours for the 3rd U.S. Infantry to place all the flags throughout the cemetery. 6. About 5,000 people attended the first ceremony.
