Description:
Our client, a Canadian leader in producing professional development conferences for senior
executives and lawyers as well as professionals in various industries in the legal, business, and
public sectors, are looking to add a Legal Conference Producer to their growing Toronto-based
team.
Reporting to the Division Manager, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and
producing conferences for the legal industry. This position involves lots of people interaction
and a diversity of tasks, in a project based, fast paced, team-oriented environment.
This role involves:

conducting research to develop commercial conference programs that respond to
market needs
conducting telephone and in person research to identify potential attendees, develop
conference agendas, and invite speakers for conferences
writing marketing copy and promotional conference brochures
establishing and maintaining relationships with key professionals, industry leaders,
senior executives and media
attending and overseeing conferences
supporting a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, sponsorship departments
Requirements:
You are the ideal candidate if you:

are a lawyer in good standing
have a MINIMUM of 2 YEARS post-call business experience.
have ability to conduct in-depth research by telephone, in person, online
strong business, strategy and marketing background
have good knowledge of the legal market
have excellent networking and information gathering skills
are a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills
