Change in Product Part Number Announcement for
the Cisco DCM Series D9900/D9901 Digital

Cisco announces a change in product part numbers for the Cisco DCM Series
D9900/D9901 Digital Content Manager. This is a product part number change only
announcement. Customers will experience no change in functionality when using the
new product part numbers. The new product part numbers are designed to simplify
the customer ordering process. The last day to order the affected product using the
current product part numbers is July 29, 2011. Customers will continue to receive
support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until otherwise specified in
the end-of-life announcement for the new product part numbers. Table 1 describes
the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists
the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Effective immediately, this is a product part number change only announcement as a result of the migration from
the Scientific Atlanta ordering processes to the Cisco ordering process.

This is a product part number change only, effective immediately. Customers will experience no change in
functionality, service, or lead time when using the new product IDs. The new product IDs are designed to simplify
the ordering process. Customers are encouraged to migrate immediately to the Cisco D9900/D9901 Digital
Content Manager configurable through the Cisco Dynamic Configuration Tool
(https://apps.cisco.com/qtc/config/jsp/configureHome.jsp). The Cisco Dynamic Configuration Tool allows online
configuration of the Cisco D9900/D9901 Digital Content Manager (DCM-1RU and DCM-2RU) as well as DCM
License Upgrade Kits (DCM-LIC-UPGR). Spare parts are available under Cisco DCM Series in the Pricing Tool.
Non-migrated Scientific Atlanta customers, still ordering in SAP, are not affected by this product part number
change.
