Responsibility & Sustainability Report shares our efforts as an organization continuously working towards social and environmental stewardship Recycling Efforts We recycled: 125,348 tons of corrugated cardboard 1,545 tons of mixed plastic 3,145 tons of metal Product Selection More than 5.3 million ENERGY STAR certified products were sold through Sears and Kmart. This resulted in more than 600 million kilowatt-hours of electricity saved and more than $100 million in electricity cost savings for our members. Reduce electricity consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions at comparable retail locations by 30% by 2020, relative to a 2008 baseline.
