After selection of candidates, the applicants will be informed via email towards the end of December
2016.
15 applicants will be chosen, and careful selection will be made on the basis of motivation and a fair
distribution across countries. The Course is intended primarily for younger researchers, but also senior
researchers with little or no expertise in the field will be considered. Among the 15 applicants, there
are place for 5 in the DNA repair training course.
Applicants should indicate the modality they want to learn in the application form.
The training course will cover the use of:
(i)
(ii)
the comet assay to assess DNA damage (traditional protocol as well as high-throughput
versions), and
DNA repair (i.e. the so-called in vitro DNA repair comet assay).
Travel Grant for each chosen applicant will be 500 €. Other expenses should be covered by the
applicants. The training in the laboratory will be covered by the organisers. A limited number of rooms
will be provided by the organizers; for further information about accommodation you should contact the
training course leader.
Each application should contain the:
