Be sure to include the module names for which you need passwords in the email you send to [email protected]. Beginning in Q4 ‘06, use the License Management System on the EMC Powerlink website. Be sure to have the license agreement card (LAC) and download instructions received from EMC via email to obtain license keys and passwords. Extract these two patch .zip files using the following default paths in your SAP R/3 system code tree: ViewPoint for SAP self-extracting files are passwordprotected. Contact [email protected] for the passwords for the modules you purchased. Obtain these passwords before beginning “Installation procedure”. Installation procedure Support > Downloads & Patches Preparing .zip files Follow this procedure to extract the contents of ViewPoint for SAP .zip files to your local Windows system, and to prepare the transport files for import into your SAP R/3 system. Passwords Customers without a Powerlink account should contact their EMC account manager to obtain Powerlink access, or go to http://Powerlink.EMC.com and click New Member Registration and complete a brief registration process. Latest downloads The latest ViewPoint for SAP software downloads are available on Powerlink at: NOTE: If you prefer to copy the contents of both CDs, or download all the files from Powerlink, to your local drive make sure you have 1.2 GB of available disk space. You will need an additional 1.8 GB of available disk space if you choose to extract all files to your local drive. 1. Insert a ViewPoint for SAP CD into your CD-ROM drive or log onto Support > Downloads and Patches in Powerlink. NOTE: You must be a registered ViewPoint for SAP customer and Powerlink user to log in to the ViewPoint for SAP area of Downloads and Patches on Powerlink. Support > Documentation Library 2. Double-click on the self-extracting file you want to prepare for import into your SAP R/3 system (for example, CFI.EXE). CFI_46C_DELTAPATCH.ZIP — EMC\Produkte_R3\CFI\46c\R3\patch • CHECKADKTOOL_PATCH.ZIP — EMC\Produkte_R3\Utilities\47all\R3\patch Extract these two patch .zip files to a temporary directory. Copy to the following module paths in your ViewPoint code tree. For example: Figure 1 — Zip 2 Secure EXE window 3. Browse to a temporary folder you create to which you want to extract the SAP transport files (for example, ViewPoint_SAP). 4. There are two types of ViewPoint for SAP files: Selfextracting (.exe) and zip. The following sections explain preparing these files for import into your SAP system. Preparing self-extracting files Follow this procedure to extract the contents of ViewPoint for SAP .exe files to your local Windows system to prepare the transport files for import into your SAP R/3 system. • Figure 2 — Enter Password window 5. Enter your ViewPoint product password and select OK. The Status windows appears with confirmation that the transport files have been extracted to the temporary folder you created. 6. Extract these two patch .zip files to a temporary directory. • ViewPoint_Patch1.zip • ViewPoint_Patch2.zip Copy to the appropriate module path in your ViewPoint code tree.
