Technical Recommendation
Lexar EZ Herbicide - Control of Weeds in Emerged Corn – Southern KS, MO, IL, IN, OH
Lexar EZ Herbicide may be applied post emergence to corn before corn exceeds 12 inches in
height
Situation 1 - grass1 < 2 leaf stage & broadleaf weeds < 3 inches
Apply Lexar EZ2 (1.753 – 3.5 qts/A) + COC4 (1 gal/100 gal) or NIS (1 qt/100 gal)
o AAtrex5 Herbicide may be tank-mixed with Lexar EZ (the addition of 0.5 lbs of AAtrex to 1.75
qts/A of Lexar EZ will improve burndown and residual control)
Situation 2 - grass > 2 leaf stage & broadleaf weeds > 3 inches
Glyphosate Tolerant Corn
 Lexar EZ2 (1.753 – 3.5 qts/A) + Touchdown Total Herbicide(24 oz/A) + AMS (8.5-17 lb/100gal)
 AAtrex5 may be tank-mixed with Lexar EZ + Touchdown Total (the addition of 0.5 lbs of AAtrex to
1.75 qts/A of Lexar EZ will improve residual control)
LibertyLink Corn
 Lexar EZ2 (1.753 – 3.5 qts/A) + Liberty Herbicide (22-29 oz/A) + AMS (8.5-17lb/100gal)
 AAtrex5 may be tank-mixed with Lexar EZ + Liberty (the addition of 0.5 lbs of AAtrex to 1.75 qts/A
of Lexar EZ will improve residual control)
Conventional Corn (not glyphosate or Liberty tolerant)
 Lexar EZ2 (3.03 – 3.5 qts/A) + Accent Q or Resolve Q or Steadfast Q + NIS (1qt/100 gal) + AMS
(8.5-17lb/100gal)
Restrictions





Application of Lexar EZ to emerged corn previously treated with Counter insecticide may result in severe crop injury.
Temporary crop injury may occur if Lexar EZ is applied to emerged corn previously treated with a soil application of an
organophosphate insecticide other than Counter.
Do not make post emergence applications of Lexar EZ in a tank mix with any organophosphate or carbamate insecticide
or server corn injury may occur. Post emergence application of any organophosphate or carbamate insecticide within 7
days before or 7 days after a Lexar EZ application may result in severe corn injury.
Do not use nitrogen based adjuvants (UAN or AMS) when Lexar EZ is applied to emerged corn, unless specifically
stated in the Lexar EZ alone or the Lexar EZ + Touchdown, Liberty, Accent Q, Stout, or Steadfast Q tank-mixes.
Do not apply Lexar EZ to emerged sweet corn or yellow popcorn.
Do not use methylated seed oil (MSO) with Lexar EZ when applied alone to emerged field corn or when applied as a
post emergence tank mixture with other products

Grasses excluding fall panicum, woolly cupgrass, wild proso millet, and perennial grasses.
Water carrier only for all herbicide applications to emerged corn.
