Nhan Van Tran, SVD of the Divine Word Missionaries will be with us on July 11 & 12, 2015 to celebrate Mass and speak about the missionary work they do around the world. The Divine Word Missionaries are an international Religious Community of 6,100 missionary Priests and Brothers who serve in 70 countries. Fr. Nhan is originally from Vietnam. He has served as a missionary in Argentina, South America for nine years. He also has served in the inner city of Memphis, Tennessee, and he currently teaches and helps to form future missionary Brothers and Priests at Divine Word College Seminary in Epworth, Iowa. This Mission Appeal is part of the Mission Coop Program of our Diocese. This work is in some of the most difficult areas of the world. ARCHBISHOPS APPEAL Though our Church is a multiplicity of peoples and cultures, it is our common faith that unites us as a People of God. United in spirit, let us Build up the Kingdom of God through our donations to the Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal which, in turn, will enable our wider Church to evangelize the faith more fruitfully. Thank you for your generosity. CONGRATULATIONS To all of our youth who received the Sacrament of Confirmation: May the Holy Spirit strengthen their faith, hope and love in the Lord Jesus Christ and may the Holy Spirit guide them in all their paths. Please continue to pray for all our youth. May the fire of their baptismal faith and the power of the Holy Spirit enkindle in them a profound love so great that they may always bear witness to the truth and practice of the Catholic religion throughout their lives. To all of our High School Graduates! There will be a special blessing of all our youth at all the masses this weekend who have graduated from high school this year. May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Fr. Frank and Fr. David PICTURES FOR CONFIRMANI Pictures of each Confirmandi can be picked up in the Church office. Stay tuned for more information! Log on to www.archden.org/saints to view the awesome presentation on the reordering of the sacraments of initiation. The video lasts about 30 minutes and presents a thorough explanation on the reordering of the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. THANK YOU My beloved Flock, A very heartfelt “Thank You” to everyone who helped out in celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation to our parish youth last weekend! Your charity is truly a reflection of the Gospel of Christ Jesus. Please continue to pray for all of our youth as we continue to transition during the next few years as the reordering of the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) takes place. Special thanks to Very Reverend Randy Dollins, V.G. who celebrated the Confirmation masses, Father David and Deacon Rich Wilson, as well as our sacristans, altar servers, choir, ushers, ladies of the Altar and Rosary Society and our Knights of Columbus. Please know that all of you are in my sincerest prayers of thanksgiving to Our Lord and our Blessed Mother for all that you have done. We also especially thank our catechists, teachers and volunteers and our parents and godparents who teach our children the love of Christ. Parents and godparents must remain credible witnesses to their children by receiving the sacrament of reconciliation often and attending Mass and Holy Days of Obligation as families in Christ. God bless you all! It has come to my attention that solicitations for donations from businesses in the Fort Morgan community have been made on behalf of the parish without my being notified beforehand for approval. In the future, if a responsible of any parish organization wishes to request donations from area businesses, please contact the parish office and speak to me personally first. You must obtain the pastor’s approval and obtain an official letter before asking for a donation. Thank you for your cooperation and may God bless you. In Christ, Fr.
