Ashmore underground network maintenance
Project: C0510880
Energex has commenced a maintenance program to improve sections of the underground electricity network
supplying homes in streets throughout Ashmore. This program of work will remove and replace an underground
power cable which is at the end of its service life.
We have engaged an electrical contractor to assist in the delivery of the program. Our contractors will soon
commence civil and electrical work in your area.
This important upgrade will ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply throughout the area.
Location of work:
We will be working in Belah Street, Berringah Court, Carrabean Avenue, Darrel Drive, Girral Avenue, Kallaroo
Cresent, Mingaletta Drive, Miralie Place, Numeralla Avenue, Sassafras Drive, Tyalla Drive, Wilga Court,
Yarran Drive, Wimba Court, Cran Street and Tallowood Road, Ashmore, as part of this upgrade.
Project timings:
Work in your local area will commence mid-April and is due to be completed by the end of June.
All construction activities will occur Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.
Please note that these timings are a guide only, and are subject to weather and site conditions.
Our contractors will keep you updated with their exact work locations and operational timings via letterbox
drops as the project progresses.
What you should be aware of:
Our contractor will take all reasonable measures to minimise the impacts from this work to local residents,
however you may be impacted by some, or all of the points below:

Power outages – a minimum of four business days’ notice will be provided

Property access – if we foresee an impact to your property, a representative will contact you directly

Switchboard access – we will notify you if we require access to the switchboard within your property
to perform polarity testing

Excavation and trenching – in the roadway and/or footpath

Reinstatement of footpaths upon completion of work

Heavy vehicles operating in the area

Noise – temporary high levels
