Paris Worlds to Explore Patch
Come to Paris and discover the 4 Program Goals of Girl Scouting “à la
française” and earn the “Paris Worlds to Explore Patch!" Plan to stay at least
2 days to complete the patch requirements. The GUIDE MICHELIN is an
invaluable aid to help you organize your visit to Paris. It gives a good, concise
history of Paris and also “walks” you through different areas of the city, tours of
museums etc. It tells you how to ride the bus and metro. You can get a “plan de
Paris” (map of Paris) and metro/bus guide at any of the “gares” (railway stations)
or at any metro station.
If you cannot visit Paris, you may complete many requirements virtually via
Internet, or by visiting your local library and other places within your community.
1. Prepare a Paris Scrapbook of souvenirs, tickets and drawings to be
presented for the patch.
2. Start by researching, then writing, a paragraph or completing a drawing
to describe a period in French history.
