Hazelgrove Court Care Home Newsletter February, 2013 I hope this newsletter finds you all well. Firstly may I welcome new residents, I hope you enjoy your stay here and on behalf of the management of New Century Care Limited and the staff of Hazelgrove Court warmly welcome you here. Thank you to all those who attended the latest relatives meeting, I apologise for those who weren’t aware of the meeting but one suggestion received was collating email addresses so the forthcoming newsletters could be emailed to you, if you would like this please advise Trish or Tina so we can incorporate your details in the mailing list. The weather has sadly prevented any outings at the present time. However I AM DELIGHTED TO ADVISE that New Century Care is re-commencing ‘Holiday Transfers’ between the company’s homes. As you are probably aware Hazelgrove Court is owned by New Century Care Limited who has 27 homes across England and Scotland which, subject to availability and care requirements, can be visited for periods of time as holiday’s for residents. Please ask Tina for more information. Carys Jarvis Area Director is now supporting Hazelgrove Court. If you wish to speak with her please ask Tina for contact details. BRILLIANT NEWS: Hazelgrove Court has been crowed Regional Winner of the New Century Care Green Finger competition. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much and in particular to Jack, Rita, Edna, Diana, Karen, Ian, Mandy just to name a few kindly who donated their time and efforts! Bring on 2013’s competition, more information to follow. As you are aware we are commencing Employee of the month; we value your nominations, please can you put them in the suggestion box outside the manager’s office? Please can you contact Edna to make an appointment to review your or your relatives care plans, I strongly recommend this as your involvement is very much appreciated. We are collecting unwanted items to use as raffle prizes: If you have any unwanted gifts they would be appreciated. Tina is currently selling red hearts for the British Heart Foundation; again your support is greatly valued in any donations. Our lovely maintenance gentleman remains off unwell and I am sure you all miss him as we do and join us in wishing him a speedy recovery! I will be including a QUIZ with next month’s newsletter which there will be a PRIZE for the winner! In addition there will more details regarding activities etc and a feature from the activities Co-ordinator. Final note: We are compiling a memory box for each resident and the activities co-ordinator is requesting any personal items such as photos and mementos that can be used in discussions can be included in the memory box. Please ensure these are labelled, your assistance is appreciated. Best Wishes Tina Temple, General Manager
