USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS - at least 3 days per week
Grades K-2: 20 minutes per session
Grades 3-5: 30 minutes per session
Grades 6-12: 30-45 minutes per session
Of course every student is an individual learner, so these are only recommendations.
TECHNOLOGY
Headsets
If students use the speaking sections, then they will need headphones with a microphone. These
headphones will need to be purchased by your student/school/district. Most headphones range from $15-$30.
Speaking Lessons
Students will need to practice how to speak during the speaking exercises ~ it is important they speak only
when the light turns green. For some students, it takes practice figuring out how to manage the speaking
portion of the program. Therefore, we recommend a staff member assist the students when they first begin
the program, so that students have support understanding how to respond the Rosetta Stone lesson prompts.

GRADING
Specific grades are not assigned by the Rosetta Stone program. For most lessons, students must pass at an
80%, in order to move onto the next lesson. Therefore, students may redo a lesson as often as necessary to
reach the 80%. Site coordinators may run weekly usage reports for their students to determine how often the
students used the program for the week, how long each lesson took, and the score earned on the lesson.
