Kogo Squares for Blankets If you are interested in making squares for blankets, please feel free to do so. We do not expect you to make enough squares for a complete blanket as we have a team of wonderful volunteers who assemble blankets for us, so if you would like to use up some spare balls of wool, or part balls, please just follow the sizing below so when we receive your squares they will be the same size as others we have received and can be easily combined into a complete blanket. Crochet squares are equally acceptable provided the sizing is the same as the straight knitted squares (i.e. 20cm x 20cm) Kogo Straight Squares Blanket Please use 8 ply wool with 4mm needles - these squares will measure 20cm x 20cm Knitted Straight Square Pattern Ø Cast on 40 stitches Ø Knit in garter stitch until square measures 20cm Ø Cast off For a cot blanket we recommend using 5 x 5 squares giving a blanket sizing of approximately 1m x 1m.
