Program Information Data Description Methodology The name of the degree/diploma program to which the disclosed data is associated. Concentrations, minors, or slight variations of programs are combined within one program of study (i.e. additional minors/concentrations to a major or different requirements based on the campus location at which the program is completed). Program Title Program of study. Program Level Level of program. Data is disclosed by program level. These levels include Undergraduate certificate, Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree. Diploma and Certificate programs are reported as one program under Undergraduate certificates. Program Length Estimated number of weeks to complete program. The total number of weeks equals the number of credits required to complete the program divided by 15 for Undergraduate and 12 for Graduate programs. This number is then rounded up to the nearest whole number to determine the estimated number of semesters to complete program. There are 16 weeks in a semester. The number of semesters is then multiplied by 16 weeks. *Note: Program lengths may vary by campus location due to different teaching schedules however ranges could not be input to reflect these differences. Therefore the longest overall length was used. Also note different modifications of a specific program result in various credit requirements (i.e. additional minors/concentrations to a major or different requirements based on the campus location at which the program is completed). Data Description Cost Information Tuition and Fees Methodology Estimated tuition and fee expenses are calculated assuming 15 credits per semester are a full‐time course load for Undergraduate Estimated tuition enrollments and 12 for Graduate level enrollments. The total number of credits for a program is divided by 15 credits for Undergraduate and fee expenses for enrollments (12 for Graduate enrollments) and rounded up to the nearest whole number to determine number of semesters to complete. Semester length was multiplied by current semester charges in order to determine full program cost. duration of *Note: Tuition varies by campus location however ranges could not be input to reflect these differences. Therefore the highest tuition program. rate was used. *Note: Tuition and fees are subject to change at any time. Page 1 of 3 2014 Disclosure Methodology Financing Information Data Description Median Loan Debt Median loan debt of Graduates of this program. Data Description Methodology Median debt (including Title IV, Institutional, and Private loans) is calculated using all graduates within the specified time frame (July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013). Included in that figure is institutional debt for students with balances left on their account after graduation if it was greater than $200. All previous debt was included for students who graduated in the stated time‐frame if it progressed to a higher level degree, if the student transferred programs at the same level, or if they transferred between campuses if it led to a higher degree or stayed at the same degree level. If a student re‐enrolled into a new program and withdrew, the debt incurred from the withdrawn enrollment was not included in the data. If a student graduated from two programs at the same degree level, the loan debt was associated to each program separately. *Note: If less than 10 graduates received loans, median amounts were withheld to preserve the confidentiality of the loan recipients. Success Information Methodology On‐time Completion Rate Percentage rate of graduates from this program that completed in the designated timeframe. On‐time completion rates are calculated assuming 15 credits per semester is a full‐time course load for Undergraduate enrollments and 12 for Graduate level enrollments. The total number of credits for a program is divided by 15 credits for Undergraduate enrollments (12 for Graduate enrollments) and rounded up to the nearest whole number to determine number of semesters to complete. Using the same methodology as the Median Debt calculation to determine valid enrollments, the earliest start date at Herzing University to each graduate’s graduation date from the program is determined and converted into the number of semesters it took them to complete their program. The number of graduates who completed before or within the number of semester needed to be considered on time is divided from the total number graduates in the cohort to determine the program’s on time completion rate. *Note: If less than 10 students completed the program in 2012‐13, the numbers of who finished within the normal time were withheld to preserve the confidentiality of the students. Available Graduate Employment Rate SOC Percentage of available graduates who reported being employed in a position related to their field of study. Employment rates are calculated by determining the percentage of available graduates from the specified time frame (July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013) who reported being employed in a position related to their program of study. Available graduates are defined as all students graduating in the defined time frame less those graduates waived due to the following: Graduates continuing education, declining employment assistance, ineligible because of immigration status, unable to work due to health reasons, or having military obligations. The available graduate employment data figures are representative of past results, are not a predictor of future employment and/or income results, and in no way guarantee employment. Standard Occupational Classification. The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code for each program was determined using the O*Net website (www.onetonline.org) CIP‐SOC crosswalk to associate the program’s Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) code with related occupations. The SOC codes provide a few occupations the program prepares graduates to enter upon successful completion of the program but should not be considered an all‐inclusive list or a guarantee of employment following completion of the program. Page 2 of 3 2014 Disclosure Methodology Occupational Title Title of occupation related to CIP and SOC Codes. The occupational titles are associated with the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC ) codes using the O*Net website (www.onetonline.org) CIP‐SOC crosswalk to associate the program’s Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) code with related occupations. These are some of the occupations the program prepares graduates to enter upon successful completion of the program but should not be considered an all‐inclusive list or a guarantee of employment following completion of the program. O*Net Link Link to O*Net Online website providing additional information about careers related to this program of study based on this program's CIP. O*Net links were collected from the O*Net website (www.onetonline.org) using the CIP‐SOC crosswalk to identify the SOC codes associated with the occupations related to the specified program of study. The links provide a few occupations the program prepares graduates to enter upon successful completion of the program but should not be considered an all‐inclusive list or a guarantee of employment following completion of the program. Additional Notes The reporting period used in obtaining this data was 7/1/2012‐6/30/2013. The information reflects data from all combined Herzing University campuses, not individual campuses, which have students enrolled in the specified program in the specified time period. The information does not reflect data regarding individual campuses unless only one campus had students in this cohort. Tuition and length may vary by campus location. Ranges could not be input for tuition and length, therefore tuition and length reported were the highest tuition rates and longest program length to encompass all campuses. Some campuses may have lower tuition or teach the program in a shorter timeframe. For information regarding specific campus tuition please refer to http://www.herzing.edu/tuition‐financial‐aid . If there were less than 10 graduates in a program, median loan amounts were withheld to preserve confidentiality of the loan recipients. If less than 10 students completed the program during 7/1/2012‐6/30/2013, the number who finished within the normal time was withheld to preserve the confidentiality of the students.
