Our child care center is now taking enrollment for the

Class Times
Classes begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.,
unless otherwise indicated. Apprentice
students need to be on time.
Apprentice hours will be recorded
based on actual hours of attendance.
65 Years and Older Discount
We value our life–long learners.
Therefore, as a community service we
offer a 50% discount on one course
per session. This offer cannot be
applied to state apprentice, license
programs, and electrical/plumbing
continuing education coursework. This
applies to tuition only and does NOT
include materials and books, and cannot be used with any other promotion.
Veterans
Please contact our office for
information on the Veteran’s discount
program.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Refund Policy
100 percent refund of tuition prior to
the first class, 75 percent refund prior
to second class, 50 percent refund
prior to the third class. There are no
refunds made after the third class.
Refund payments require a 60 to 90
business days processing period, if
paying by cash or check.
NOTE: A $10 administrative fee will
be deducted from all refunds.If your
check is returned for insufficient
funds a $20.00 fee will be added.
Class Cancellations
and Snow Policy
On the day school is cancelled due to
snow conditions, evening classes are
also cancelled. In the event day
classes are not cancelled and the
weather worsens, a decision will be
made by 4 p.m. and relayed to the
following television stations:
WBZ TV 4, WCVB TV 5,
WHDH TV 7 and FOX 25. Please
bookmark and check our web site for
changes and updates at
www.neadulted.com click on the
“Bulletins” tab for updates. Make up
classes will be arranged, therefore
there are no refunds for cancelled
classes.

Attendance and Tardiness
A 100% attendance rule applies to
academics, apprenticeship training
and all licensing courses. The
apprenticeship program and/ or
licensing courses must fulfill required
hours/passing grade in order to
complete the course. Academic
students late for class three times or
more may be subject to
grade reduction.
Drug Policy and Tobacco Policy
Possession and/or use of drugs is
illegal. Any students found violation
of this law will automatically be
expelled with no credit earned, no
refund, and could face possible
criminal charges. Under state law,
there is no smoking or any use of
tobacco products on school grounds.
Any student in violation of this law
could face possible expulsion with
no credit earned and no refund.
Grading
Academic students must follow the
course syllabus to obtain credit.
Stu-dents making up a grade for
their high school must also meet the
require-ment of the school accepting
the grade. Passing grades for
apprentice-ship course will be
determined by the State
Apprenticeship Board. Manicuring,
Phlebotomy, and EKG require a
passing grade of 70 and the passing
of the State Exam to be licensed. All
students successfully passing
courses will be given a certificate/
grade. All grades are kept on file and
an academic certificate will be sent
on request.
Parking
Students must park in designated
areas only. Parking outside of a
designated area may result in towing
at the owner’s expense.

This is a 2-year comprehensive training
program for heating, ventilation,
and air conditioning installers
and technicians. Year 1 you will
learn about air conditioning technology,
refrigeration, electronics, heat transfer
and programmable controls. Year 2 will
consist of a 150 hours in electrical code

Take your basic guitar playing skills to
the next level!! Learn intermediate/
advanced level guitar techniques for
individuals who want to improve their
existing beginner level guitar and song
writing skills. Learn a variety of different
music styles such as: Rock, Jazz, Latin,
Latin Jazz, Folk, and Finger Picking
techniques, along with learning various

prepare individuals who are interested
in becoming a hospice volunteer. You

Watercolor and Acrylic
Combined Art Class $225
Instructor: Betsy Rogers
Wednesday, 6-9 p.m. – 10 weeks
This art course combines acrylic
painting with traditional watercolor
painting. The beginner or intermediate
student will learn how to use these
water based paints together, to create
their own personal style, blending both
paint techniques. We will cover drawing
techniques with pencil and pen, how to
choose subjects to paint, perspective
drawing, mixing paint colors, using the
color wheel, choosing watercolor
papers and canvas. Having fun while
learning these techniques, and trying
out traditional and abstract painting
projects is the goal. If you've ever said

Watercolor and Pastels Art Class

This course is a continuation of the
skills taught in basic watercolors.
Experimentation and fun are
encouraged in the watercolor class,
along with developing your individual
style through new techniques and
skills. We will paint city scenes,
landscapes and seascapes! The pastel
class will be part of the watercolor
class. We will alternate between
watercolor and pastel painting – a very
free and open plan for the class.

Chemistry studies matter, what it is
made of, and how it can be changed.
Students will investigate topics such
as elements, mixtures and compounds.
The periodic table will be explained so
that the students can use it as a
scientist would. Chemical reactions will
be explored, as will the proper way of
making solutions and measuring their
strength. Laboratory investigations
also will be conducted.
Phlebotomy Training $275

This course provides practical training and
the necessary skills on how to draw blood.
The individual will be-come familiar with
all the equipment used and develop a
comfort level for drawing blood. This is a
hands–on course and includes bookwork
and testing. Attendance is extremely
important, only one absence is allowed.
More than one absence will result in
automatic failure. Students must pass the
written exam and show the draw in order
to receive their certificate of completion.
This course is for the beginner which
requires no previous specialized
background. Class night selection can not
be changed. A High School diploma or
GED is required. Limit 15 students per
class.
EKG Training $275
Thursday, 6–9 p.m. – 10 weeks
This EKG (Electrocardiograph) course
provides the student with proper usage
and terminology of an EKG machine
including basic heart anatomy,
physiology, correct electrodes
placement, printout analysis, vital
signs, and safety. This hands–on
course includes bookwork, testing, and
performing electrocardiograms on
fellow students. Students must pass
the written exam and show the proper
usage of the EKG machine in order to
receive their certificate of completion. A
