Arrival to Zagreb
By plane
Zagreb International Airport is approximately 20 km (12.5 miles) from the city center.
There are several options to reach the city center from the airport:


Direct line (bus shuttle) to and from Zagreb Central bus station provided by Pleso
prijevoz company. Shuttle terminal is located at the airport entrance. One-way ticket
costs about 4.5 USD (30 kn in local currency).
Taxis. Fares from the airport to the city center range from 20 to 30 USD, depending
on the traffic.

Registration
All participants are expected to arrive for registration formalities in University of Zagreb
premises at 9:00 on May 30, 2016.
Visa
Please ensure that you have the required visas for Croatia through the respective Embassy
of the Republic of Croatia (including transit visas, if necessary) prior your arrival to Zagreb.

Language
The working language of the WIPO Summer School will be English. Good knowledge of
English is therefore expected from each participant. The language spoken in Zagreb is
Croatian, but most people understand and speak English.
Registration fees
For students and young professionals from developing countries and countries in
transition and residing in those countries registration fee is:
Students: US$ 250
Young professionals: US$ 350
For students and young professionals from developed countries registration fee is:
Students: US$ 500
Young professionals: US$ 700
Climate
During the month of June, the climate in Zagreb is sunny with temperatures between 25 and
30 degrees centigrade.
Dress Code
We suggest “business casual” dressing.
Insurance and medical examination
Every non-resident participant is required to provide WIPO with a medical certificate from a
qualified physician at the time of registration on May 30, 2016.
Currency
The currency in Croatia is the Croatian Kuna (HRK). The current exchange rate is
approximately 6.6 kn for 1 USD and 7.6 kn for 1€.
Travel, accommodation and living expenses
Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Zagreb, accommodation and
living expenses during their participation in the WIPO Summer School Program.
