Sharps Disposal Information
**For Safe and legal disposal of hypodermic needles & lancets**
Sharps Kiosk – *DISPOSAL located at City Hall Board of Health








The Sharps Kiosk is limited to “Home” sharps waste generated by
Woburn Residents (ONLY). No disposal for any person providing
professional service in a residence
Store used sharps properly until disposal, do not place used or
unused sharps in your household trash or recycling
Always use an approved container for storage and disposal
Use Sharps containers that are leak proof, puncture resistant &
preferably a one-quart or smaller sealed puncture resistant container
(i.e., bleach bottle, laundry detergent bottle or one-pound taped coffee can)
No loose sharps, No glass, plastic or paper bags containing sharps
No Prescription or Non Prescription Medications (contact Woburn Police for those items)
Epi-Pens can be disposed at Board of Health Kiosk
Do Not leave sharps containers outside or on top of the Kiosk
