All sheep must have individual scrapies ID tag along with herd ID number. Scrapies tag must be listed in health papers. • Online entry fee is $20/head; mailed entry fee is $25/ head; late entries must pay $40/head. Early entries must be postmarked by Jan. 8, 2016, and online entries will be accepted through Jan. 15, 2016. No refunds will be issued. • Certificate must contain identification as to breed, sex, ear tag number and owner’s name and address. • Arrival time is any time after noon on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016. • Health certificates must be properly made out and issued within 30 days of the opening of the show. • Weigh-in of all lambs is scheduled from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016. There is a maximum weight of 185 pounds with a five (5) pound scale break. Health certificates must be given to Farm Show Personnel at weigh-in. • ALL OUT OF STATE SHEEP NEED A PERMIT NUMBER TO ENTER SOUTH DAKOTA. Please have your veterinarian call the South Dakota State Veterinarian office for the permit number at (605) 773-3321. • Any sheep that is not accompanied by a health certificate or does not comply with any of the above regulations will not be admitted to the Sioux Empire Farm Show. Sheep must be free of scabies, scrapies and any other symptoms of disease. The health certificate MUST STATE sheep are free of signs of scabies, scrapies and fungus. • Prior to unloading, you MUST show the certificates to the livestock attendant. Health certificates will be collected at weigh-in. • COOL forms must be completed and signed at check-in • No unethical oral or injected altering material will be allowed on any animal at the Sioux Empire Farm Show. The Farm Show retains the right to sample/test if needed. REGISTER ONLINE: Save time & money! A $150 cash award for the Reserve Champion Market Lamb will be awarded. The Grand and Reserve Champions and additional three (3) animals, as determined at the discretion of Farm Show Personnel, will be sold at the Mayor’s Round-Up & Sale of Champions Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at the Best Western PLUS Ramkota Exhibit Hall in Sioux Falls. • SALE OF CHAMPIONS: All Sale of Champions animals will be terminated. All market animals held for the Sale of Champions MUST be stalled in a designated area in the Expo Building until transport to the Sale of Champions on Friday — they may not leave for any reason. Goats, swine and sheep will be transported by Farm Show Personnel. After the sale, all animals must be tied with adequate halters. The Sale of Champions is a terminal sale. Premium checks for those animals held for the Sale of Champions will be mailed within 30 days. Animals must be present at the sale in order to receive your check. • All Sale of Champions Market Lambs will be processed for collection of carcass data. • Cash awards will be mailed to winners within 30 days of the conclusion of the Sioux Empire Farm Show. • Market Lamb Show Judge: TBD
