Novel “David Copperfield” by Charles Dickens

 Review all the chapters of the novel and try to focus on (but not limited to):

Historical Context: In later years, Dickens called David Copperfield his “favorite child,”
and many critics consider the novel to be one of his best depictions of childhood.

Plot Overview: David Copperfield tells the story of his youth. As a young boy, he lives
happily with his mother and his nurse, Peggotty. His father died before he was born.
During David’s early childhood, his mother marries the violent Mr. Murdstone.

Analysis of Major Characters: David Copperfield, Uriah Heep, and James Steerforth

Themes: plight of the weak, equality in marriage, wealth and class, suffering and poverty,
guilt and blame, family and love, and education.
