Ms. Diana, Ms. Teresita & Ms. Estrella
In the month of April we continued reaching new milestones as we are learning how to
hold our bottles and roll over. We loved learning and singing “Five Little Ducks”. We
also painted Bluebonnets, an Octopus and purple ovals as our color of the month was
Purple. We played with our Prop Box which included feather dusters, containers, and
scrubbers. For our sensory activity this month we got to play with warm and cold
toothpaste in a baggie. We are excited for all the new things to learn next month.

This month our theme was “Bubbles”, “Puddles”, and “Mud”. We learned that rain is water. We
played with water and painted with it as well. We also learned that water can make mud. We
enjoyed reading books and moving to music. For our sensory activity for the month we played
with warm and cold toothpaste in a bag. While outside during our buggy rides we blew a lot of
bubbles and had fun popping them. This has been a great month and we really enjoyed the
warm weather. We look forward to May because we wil be learning so many new things.

In April we learned about a new shape, Oval. Our baby sign was “Hot”. The kids loved
singing “Five Little Ducks”. We discovered the color Purple along with a new rhyme, “RubA-Dub-Dub”. Our Spanish word was “El Pato” which means “Duck”. One of our favorite
activities this month was painting with loofas and for our sensory activity we did cool and
warm toothpaste in small bags. For Easter we painted eggs and created chicks from our
handprints.

In the month of April we learned all about Construction. We got to play with the cars and
get a little dirty outside with the mud. We even got to do mud painting which was fun and
messy. We made our names with sand. We enjoyed reading books about trucks. We got to
learn new vocabulary words such as plumber, and bull dozer. We also enjoyed our Easter
Egg hunt, the kids went crazy with all their eggs and sweet treats. We can’t wait to see
what May brings.

April was a magnificent month! We had a wonderful opportunity to learn
about Life Cycles, Insects, Toads, Frogs as well as plants. We had a lot
of fun using our hands and feet to make different insects. We learned how
to plant seeds and the different stages they go through. We talked about
Butterflies and their Life Cycle. When we went over frogs we played leap
frog and made paper plate frogs. We’re excited and ready to see what
next month has in store.

In April we were bugging out. We learned about all different types of bugs. We also
learned about Life Cycles , Frogs, and Toads. We even made our own frog masks. April
also brought Easter we enjoyed our Easter Egg hunt we had here at school with all of
our friends. We are getting closer and closer to the end of the school year but there is
stil so much for us to learn and do!

We learned about “Life Cycles” of Insects and all living things. We found out that certain
types of grasshoppers and crickets have ears on their legs. We also learned the
difference between a frog and a toad. We had an Easter egg hunt on the playground. We
planted beans and watched them sprout. We also had a fun fil ed Fiesta hat parade, thank
you for all of your participation!

Life Cycles, Frogs, and Toads was our science focus for the month of April.
Bee’s were our first insect, we made our own bee hive by coloring hexagons and
taping them together. Butterflies were our favorite insect to learn about. We all
thought “Mariposa” was a beautiful Spanish word for it, and we loved pretending
to sip nectar from 2 straws taped together. The frog life cycle was during our
last week, ask me what 4 steps are in the life cycle of a frog. We welcomed a
few new friends to our class and had some friends turn 5 this month. One more
month and it’s summer time.

We had so much fun in April! We learned about “Life Cycles”, and so many
cool insects. We learned about ladybugs and butterflies and we also learned
about frogs and their life cycle. We discussed the differences between
frogs and toads and bug names in Spanish. Easter came super quick and we
had a lot of fun during our Easter egg hunt. We can’t wait see what May
brings!

This month we learned about all the wonderful things that come with spring. We talked
about the blooming flowers, the gloomy and rainy skies, and also how a flower
grows. We planted a flower and did a lot of arts and crafts with flowers. We took
a nature walk outside and talked about what spring offers. We even picked some
wild flowers and created our own little garden. We are so excited for May and
what we are going to learn about next!

During the month of April, we learned all about the Wild West. We discussed artists, cow
punchers, outlaws and law enforcers. We made our own “Wanted” posters and created
railroads. We talked about the rough environment on the Great Plains, discussed how
tumbleweeds were formed and how cacti survived in harsh living conditions. We told tall
tales, designed our own cowboy boots, and even created our own cattle brands. We
finished the month by learning how to square dance.
