SO... the colonist have won...they made the King and Parliament back down!
UNTIL...the King and Parliament decide to pass the Townshend Acts­­which were a tax on all imports that came into the colonies...

BUT... the King kept the Tea Tax to show he was in charge!

Between 1766 and 1770...The King sent 9000 more troops to the colonies...
HE said the troops were sent to protect the colonist from Indians
THEY said the troops were sent to make sure they behaved and paid taxes!
