Spring 2017 Production
Graham and Jane Bryant will be directing our next musical adventure of “Hello Dolly”
with Ian Russell as musical director.
We extend a warm welcome to all our members, old and new who have joined the society for
this production. Auditions have taken place and rehearsals are well
underway for the forthcoming musical.
“Hello, Dolly” update
Rehearsals are going very well. We ran Act One for the first time last week and were very pleased with how well it
went. There is an atmosphere of enjoyment and enthusiasm and we would like to thank the cast for their energy and
commitment. Line-learning is also proceeding well and we are hoping that Act One will be book-free this week.
Well done and thank you to the principals for the time they are putting in to learning their lines, especially our
Dolly, who has an enormous amount to learn. Thank you, also, to everyone for listening to us and doing everything
we ask.
We are making good progress with Act Two in the Tuesday principal rehearsals and are now starting to rehearse
Act Two scenes on Wednesdays. We are planning two Sunday rehearsals, on the 12th and 19th of March, in which
we will run the whole show. “Hello, Dolly” is a wonderful show, with a very funny script and excellent songs; we
are sure that this will be an outstanding production.

Thank you to The Newgrove Trust!
We have been successful in securing a grant which has enabled the society to
purchase a much needed keyboard for rehearsals.

It is with sadness that we announce MMT Youth has decided to
break away from the adult society and become independent of our
society.
They have now renamed and are called “Mayhem”. So look out for
their next production!
We wish them every success and hope to work together on another
project in the not too distant future.
