Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher by Timothy Egan is a riveting account of Edward
Curtis’ quest to photograph and document the vanishing ways and customs of more
than 80 American Indian tribes in the early 20th century. Spanning 30 years and an
entire continent, Book-It Repertory Theatre brings Curtis’ adventures to vivid life in an
hour-long staged reading presentation of Egan’s critically acclaimed book.
