The Jury Report for the Category
„Radio Fairy Tale for Children“
After having listened to all of the plays the jury decided at a discussion held on 10th November 2016
to award the prizes as follows:
PRIX EX AEQUO
for the best radio fairy tale for children
is awarded to the play
A Fairy Tale, quack, for a Boy, quack, about Ducks, quack, quack
author: Slobodan Govorčin, director: Siniša Bosančić, produced by RTV Radio Television of
Vojvodina, Serbia
A playful, charming, wise, intelligent and symbolic play, which will attract the whole family and make
them sit together and listen while holding their breath. If you ever look for a way to show your
children the sweetness and toughness of life, show them the example of its hard and beautiful side.
What are the rules of life? The mother Duck teaches children to be adults, allows them to be adults,
and then leaves. With simple sentences, the miracle and the danger of existence is explained on the
example of dogs, hunters and food. And then, the circle of life begins again, always with the love of a
mother, a father and a child. The play shows how to deliver and bring up children. High radio quality
in a modern style with on-location recording and great playfulness. Creative sound effects and space
make the sound picture wide and open. And a miracle happened. With this masterpiece, the jury
unanimously agreed on the winner.
PRIX EX AEQUO
for the exceptional execution of radio fairy tale for children
is awarded to Marián Čekovský
the composer of music for the play Snow White, produced by Radio and Television Slovakia
A classic fairy tale is always very challenging for any type of listeners. How to dress the old story
proven by years into a new modern coat? Good acting, brilliant directing, excellent sound design and
marvellous original music with creative help of Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. The story of Snow
White with a funny, wise, surprising text with lyrics by Daniel Hevier and music by famous composer
Marián Čekovský has all the requisites to become a new catchy Slovak radio musical. There can only
be one winner, but we should not forget the wonderful director Táňa Tadlánková, sound engineer
