TERM DATES (all inclusive)
This term ends officially on Saturday 7th December (BUT Thursday classes have an extra date on Thursday
12th December to make up for when Copleston was closed in October).
SPRING TERM starts on Saturday 11th January. Exam Coaching on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th January.
HALF TERM Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd February.
TERM ENDS Friday 4th April
EXAMS. These are being held on 1st, 8th and 9th February. Good Luck to all those involved. We shall also be
having exams in March so please let us know your availability. Please remember that we enter pupils for
exams when we feel that they are ready, NOT on the length of time that they have spent in that particular
class. The ISTD is an approved awarding body and the exams are accredited by Ofqual. The higher levels are
equivalent to GCSE and A Level and carry UCAS points, hence the standard required is high. It is important
that pupils attend classes regularly, so if your son or daughter misses any class they are always welcome to
make it up on another day. If you are unsure about which class, please ask.
FEES. These are due to be paid by the end of the 4th week of term (Sunday 9th February) or they will be
subject to a 10% surcharge. If paying CASH, please attend in person. Sue Harris will be in attendance at the
Dance Studio on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of term between 10.45 to 12.45 (11th & 18th January). Cheques
can also be received at the same time. Please contact Sue if you have any queries, would like to pay by
instalments or would like the bank details to pay online. (Email: [email protected]). All fees
information is on the school website.
CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT. The Co-op Juniors will once again be performing their Christmas
Spectacular at Snape Maltings from 14th to 22nd December. Many pupils will be taking part so do go and
enjoy what is always a wonderful show…..a good way to get into the Christmas Spirit! We also have some
pupils taking part in Peter Pan at the Regent Theatre, Ipswich (20th to 30th Dec) so go along and watch them
too.
WEATHER PROBLEMS. In the event of bad weather conditions, classes may have to be cancelled. If this is
the case it will be on local radio, the school website and facebook. If Copleston feel the driveways are too
icy they will close the whole site.
SCHOOL WEBSITE. I do hope that you have all seen and like the new website. I would like to add
photographs of pupils, BUT I do need your written permission first. If you have not yet filled out a consent
form, please ask for one.
