To Graph SlopeIntercept Form
STEPS:
1) In slopeintercept form, label the slope and yintercept
2) Plot the yintercept on the yaxis.
3) Use the slope to find at least one more point
4) Connect the dots with a straightedge, making sure your line has arrows on it

Find the slope and yintercept of the equation:
1) y = 2x + 4
2) y = 3x + 8
3) y = x 4) y = 2x  7
5) y = ¼x  2
6) y = 2

Using Slope to Locate a Point
a) Move from the y-intercept, NOT the origin.
b) Slope should be written as a fraction.
c) Numerator is the rise, moving up or down.
d) Denominator is the run, moving right or left.
EXAMPLES:
m = 2/3
m = -1/2
