The French-Finnish Chamber of Commerce's mission is to develop the links and networks between France and Finland, as
well as be a new learning platform for businesses. This year, the Chamber has the pleasure of organizing its seminar around
the theme of future: "new ways of seeing and doing things". How do businesses and services in France and Finland reinvent
themselves to face new consumer needs, ways of living, and tomorrows markets? How can businesses be innovatively
different? The aim of this seminar is to stimulate reflexion and ideas among an audience of managing, marketing and sales
directors of French and Finnish companies, those who shape up tomorrow's European and world businesses. The gala
dinner will also provide them with opportunities to invite clients, partners and develop their network.

Our keynote speakers will be challenged and moderated by Risto EJ Penttilä
PhD Risto E. J. Penttilä is the the CEO of Finland Chamber of Commerce. He was prior to that, Director for the Finnish
Business and Policy Forum EVA, managing its operations from 2002 to 2010. Previously he has served, among other
things, as a Member of Parliament in Finland, Director for the World Economic Forum, Geneva, as well as in Oxford
Analytica, a UK based consulting firm specialising in economic and political analyses. Risto EJ Penttilä has also
written numerous articles for the Herald's Tribune and been interviewed several times by CNN, BBC World, etc.. His
communicative energy and wealth of knowlegde will undoubtely benefit the debates.

Keynote speaker: Dr. Liisa Välikangas, Professor of Aalto University
Dr. Liisa Välikangas is Managing Director and Research Director of the Woodside Institute—a non-profit professional
research organization dedicated to advancing innovative management practice and organizational resiliency in
organizations of public interest. She founded the professional research group Woodside Institute with Dr. Gary Hamel
in 2002. Previously, she was the Director of Research at Strategos, an international consulting company. Her
research on innovation, strategy and organizing has resulted in a number of publications and presented to
various executive audiences., and has won recognition in professional societies such as the Academy of
Management.
10h00-10h20 - Designing the invisible to help innovate in renewable energies
Keynote speaker: Gilles Rougon, Design Manager EDF (Electricité de France) R&D
Graduated as an Engineer Gilles Rougon has worked as an in-house designer both in the French car industry and in
Fichet-Bauche company before joining EDF Group in 1999. He is now in charge of EDF Research and Development
design team combining corporate projects management and design vision building.
In connection with other internal and external skills (in research, marketing, corporate communication, ...) EDF R&D
designers lead future forecast studies such as technological developments to deliver solutions of building integrated
renewable energies and more balanced behaviours supports. Materializing the energy consumption and
integrating new technologies and innovation in the field of renewable energies... Those are just some of the challenges the
EDF Group has to take up.

Keynote speaker: Anne Stenroos, Vice President of Kone Design
Anne Stenros (Helsinki, Finland) graduated as Master of Architecture from University of Oulu, Finland and University of
California, Berkeley. She has the doctorate in technology in the field of architectural theory from Helsinki University of
Technology. Employed by KONE Corporation since 2005. Since 1995 to 2004 she acted as a managing director of
Design Forum Finland. In 2005 she acted as Executive Director of Hong Kong Design Centre. She has lectured around
the world and written articles on the theory and philosophy of architecture and design.
Her latest book Design ®Evolution (2005) is about corporate design strategy. She is also a member of the
steering group of Finland’s national innovation strategy.

11h00-11h20 - "Googlism", a new way of working
Keynote speaker: Petri Kokko, Sales Director Google Germany
Google is known for having an informal corporate culture. As a motivation technique, Google uses a policy often
called Innovation Time Off, where Google engineers are encouraged to spend 20% of their work time on projects that
interest them. Once Country Manager of Google Finland & Sweden, Petri Kokko, former Finnish figure skater
champion, has recently been appointed as Sales Director Google Germany, after occupying a global director position
at Googleplex, the head offices of the search engine company in California. Kokko believes Google has two
strengths: technology and people.
11h25-11h45 - Media Industry, adapting to media revolution and creating consumer value Keynote speaker: Anu Nissinen, CEO, Sanoma Media
Anu Nissinen joined Sanoma Media in 2011, when Sanoma Entertainment, of which she was the President, was
integrated into Sanoma Magazines. Anu is also a board member of DNA, a telecommunications group, and F-Secure,
a leading security provider for computer and smartphone users. Anu holds an MSc (Economics & Business
Administration) from Helsinki School of Economics. She began her career at Kellogg’s, working as an Assistant
Product Manager. Between 1990 and 2000 she occupied various marketing positions at Sinebrychoff, a brewer that is
part of Carlsberg. In 2001 Anu became Marketing Director at Helsinki Television and in 2004 she was appointed
President of SW Television. As CEO of Sanoma Media she focuses on the growth of Sanoma Media’s RTV business, in and
outside of Finland.

Keynote speaker: Jean Emmanuel de Witt, Senior VP and Group Publisher, CIS countries at Hearst
Since June 2011, Jean Emmanuel de Witt is Senior VP and Group Publisher at Hearst, where he has worked on
multiplatform and multi-markets brands development including magazines, web, mobile, conferences. Prior to that, he
worked for Lagardère, where he was responsible for the company's performance and business development in Russia
and CIS countries and elaborated portfolio and brands' strategy, developed new concepts and brands. He also
worked as Head of Operations for Hachette Filipacchi's glossy magazines in Russia and CIS.
He will share his knowledge of media industry changes and its need to re-invents itself to continue creating
value for the consumers.
12h15-12h35 - Helsinki World Design Capital, embedding design in life
Keynote speaker: Mr. Pekka Timonen, HWDC Executive Director
Pekka Timonen, before being HWDC Executive Director, was chairman of the WDC 2012 bidding committee, and
Cultural Director of the City of Helsinki. November 2009, Helsinki was appointed the World Design Capital for 2012.
From the start, the city's application emphasised openness, continuity, collaboration and the social dimensions of
design. But its approach goes beyond that with a different and interesting perspective of developping and
fostering in Helsinki an innovative thinking, a change in attitudes and awarness.

For its 2012 Gala Dinner, the French-Finnish Chamber of Commerce and Industry has the pleasure of taking you on a
"voyage": a unique opportunity to see a little bit of the Paris in Helsinki. The champagne aperitif and traditional french menu,
accompanied by french wines, will be followed by an evening of Paris glitter, tease and glamour...
