Volunteer! We need you to... Our programs rely on the help of parent and community volunteers like you. Becoming a volunteer coach is a great way to enrich the lives of your children and other young people in our community. As a volunteer coach you are a mentor to a whole team of young people, teach skills and create memories that will stay with your players for a lifetime. You become an important part of their youth sport experience. As a head coach, when you register, the fee for one child is waived once the steps below are completed. Thank you for taking the time to volunteer with us. In order to become a volunteer coach you will need to: 1. Complete both sides of this application. 2. Attend or complete the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) Coaches Training program. (online fee is $20 or attend one at the YB for no cost) www.nays.org/ coaches. Coaches NYCSA Certification Trainings at the IYB: Baseball on Wednesday, March 23, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Lacrosse on Saturday, March 19, 9:00am-12:00pm and Softball on Tuesday, April 12, 5:30pm-8:30pm at the IYB. 3.
