Steve is twice as old as Sylvie. Sylvie is three years older than Jacob. 4
years ago, Sylvie was twice Jacob’s age. How old are they?
Coin problems:
Coin Problems can be a bit tricky as well. My advice would be to do everything in pennies if you are
dealing with coins only.
i.e. If the question is talking about dimes, think of that as 10 cents rather than .10 of a dollar
It can be helpful to draw a table for these as well.
Trisha has a bag with 32 dimes and nickels worth $2.80. How many of each coin does she have?
