In this lesson you will be writing the body of your story. The body of your story will be at least 300 words
long. In these 300 words, the real “action” of your story takes place. To make the “action” of your story
interesting you’ll need some good CONFLICT (problems) and you’ll need to use good SENSORY DETAILS
(details that appeal to the 5 senses) to make your story come alive. You’ll also be using DIALOGUE
(conversation between characters) to move your story along. Click HERE to see a sample Module 3 story that
shows all of these elements in action! Notice in the sample how the writer labels the two RISING ACTION
events (conflicts and challenges encountered by the characters) as well as the CLIMAX (where the main
character makes a decision or takes action to solve a problem or end the conflict).
