Event Rules
1.Rider’s ride at their own risk – Rangiora Pony Club Inc & Northern A&P Association accept no responsibility for
injury, loss or damage to property, horse or pony, rider or spectator
2.(AS/NZ), 3838, European VG1, British(PAS), 015, North American (SSTM) F1163, ES1384 or BSEN 1384 can be still
used until 01 August 2017. HELMETS & ARMBANDS TO BE BROUGHT FOR CHECKINGS when collecting back
numbers or checking in. MEDICAL ARMBANDS are compulsory for all jumping phases.
3. BACK PROTECTORS are compulsory for the cross country phase.
4. GEAR INSPECTION – Compulsory for all phases 80cm and below. 95cm compulsory for Cross Country – random
for dressage and showjumping. 105cm inspection is random for all phases.
5. Riders must wear correct attire for all phases. Pony Club uniform acceptable. Long sleeves must be worn on
cross country. Long hair must be tied up, preferably in a hair net.
6. DRESSAGE PHASE – ESNZ tests – Whips are not allowed but spurs may be worn for all dressage tests.
7. Disciplinary action will be taken if any person purposely jabs a horse/pony in the mouth or for excessive use of
the whip and or spurs.
8. The NZEF Doping Policy applies to horses and riders. Refer NZPCA Rule Book.
9. Printed back numbers will be supplied for you to insert into your own back number holders. PLEASE REMEMBER
TO BRING YOUR BACK NUMBER HOLDER. Note please present helmet and armband for inspection at the office.
10. Protests must be made in writing and lodged within 30 minutes of the posting of final results accompanied by
a $50.00 fee.
11. CONCUSSION RULE – If you have suffered a concussion within 21 days of competition, you are not eligible to
start at any ODE.
12. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
13. Refunds – 75% of entry fee refunded if requested in writing within seven days of the event and accompanied
by a Vet or Doctor’s Certificate. No other refunds will be made.
14. Prize Giving will be held approximately 30 minutes after the posting of final class scores providing there are no
protests. Overall prize winners will only receive their prize if they turn up for the prize giving and are dressed in
the correct dressage attire.
15. The event will be held, wet or fine. In extreme weather conditions if the event is cancelled this will be posted
on facebook the night prior.
16. Medical staff will be on site throughout the jumping stages
17. Vet will be onsite during the 105cm Cross Country stage and on call for the rest of both days
18. Committee reserves the right to alter the schedule or combine classes.
19. Committee reserves the right to remove or deny any horse/pony it considers dangerous.
20. An additional $15.00 fee on late entries if they are accepted.
21. Please take RUBBISH AND HORSE MANURE with you when you leave the event or utilize the trailers/bins
provided.
22. No class changes will be accepted on the day.
23. Eliminated riders may not carry on.
24. A helper must be supplied to confirm entry
