EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Introduction
Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has established a National Museum of Indian
Cinema i.e. NMIC in Films Division Complex at Mumbai which will be inaugurated
shortly.
The National Museum of Indian Cinema intends to take visitors through an absorbing
journey of the evolution of Indian Cinema in a story telling mode with the help of
visuals and graphics, film clippings, memorabilia , artefacts, interactive multimedia
and many more.
50,000 footfalls(approx.) are expected annually in the museum.
Scope
Films Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India,

interested persons (in their individual or collective capacity ), organisations,
institutions, corporate bodies, public, companies ( in their any form of establishment
for hiring out Souvenir Shop measuring 30 Sq. Mts.(322.8 Sq. Ft.) which is located in
the five storey new museum building which is spread on 8100 Sq. Mts.(87156 Sq. Ft.),
in the capacity of absolute right holders which will include following for sell :
Souvenirs such as Mugs, Spectacle Cases, Photo Frames, Key-Chains, Caps etc.
with embossment of pictures/posters related to Indian cinema.
Terms and conditions
a. It is intended to hire out the space exclusively to a single vendor for fixed
amount which will be decided at negotiation stage. Prices of souvenirs should not
exceed the amount of Rs.500/-.
b. The vendor will not have any right on the property/space allotted for Souvenir
Shop.
c. The vendor has to develop and design the souvenirs ins consultation with Films
Division.
d. Prices for the souvenirs should correspond with market conditions, making them
affordable to general visitors. Films Division shall be consulted with regard to
types of souvenirs to be developed as well as their fair pricing.
e. Souvenirs should be based on Indian Cinema theme aptly conveying cinematic
history and culture.

f. The vendor should carry out periodic review and change of designs and articles
as per demand and public interest.
g. The vendor has to ensure that the quality of the souvenirs should be on par with
market standards.
h. Electricity will be provided by Films Division.
i. Preparation of inventory, sale and purchase of souvenirs will be the
responsibility of the vendor.
j. Logo as supplied will be compulsorily displayed on each souvenir.
k. Operation of Souvenir Shop would be as per museum operational hours.
l. The vendor can avail the facility of Cafeteria and basic amenities like washrooms etc.
m. The Souvenir shop will be solely operated by the vendor.
“EoI” is Expression of Interest.
“Films Division” is a Ministry of I & B, Government of India’s Office represented by the
Director General.
Interested organizations, institutions, corporate bodies, public companies who have got
proven track records of running/handling above assignments in any of the Museums in
India especially in a Grade I heritage building can visit Films Division premises on
25.04.2017 at 11.00am for pre-bid conference for brief of expectations of Films
Division, inspection of the project and any other queries that arises thereof.
After pre-bid conference further process will be done as per limited tender system with
Technical Bid which would be inspection of samples and Financial Sealed Bid which
will be scrutinized by a Committee constituted by Films Division. The date for
submission of bid will be intimated subsequently.
The representatives of the interested bidders (restricted to two persons) may attend the
bidders’ conference at their own cost.
This EoI is not an offer and is issued with no commitment. Films Division reserves the
right to withdraw the EoI and change or vary any part thereof at any stage. Films
Division also reserves the right to disqualify any bidder, should it be so necessary at
any stage.
