Festival is the fantastic

individuals to get
involved in the Quests
and competitions,
such as the Talent
Quest and Harbour
Festival Ambassador
Quest.
These iconic Gladstone
Harbour Festival events
provide the perfect
platform for local
community members
to get involved in the
annual Harbour
Festival celebrations,
along with the
opportunity to win
fantastic prize money
and awesome prizes
from our generous
local businesses.
There’s a whopping
$2,000 worth of prize
money up for grabs
across the Junior,
Senior and overall
categories at the
Santos GLNG & 4CC
Talent Quest this year,

The iconic Gladstone Harbour Festival Queen Quest is headed for a refreshed new look in
2017 and organisers are calling all girls and boys aged between 5-16 years to enter now!
Event organisers and long-time Queen Quest judge Kathy Corones believed it was time to
give the annual competition a new look moving into the future, with added aim of making
it inclusive of both genders.
This is reflective in the new categories below, which will be launching in 2017.
Mini Harbour Festival Ambassador: 5-7 years old
Junior Harbour Festival Ambassador: 8-10 years old
Tween Harbour Festival Ambassador: 11-13 years old
Teen Harbour Festival Ambassador: 14-16 years old
In addition to this Gladstone Festivals and Events will be introducing a new
prize category, ‘Miss/Master Gladstone Harbour Festival’ to be awarded to
the overall winner across all categories.
Not only does the winner receive the prestigious title, as well as all of the other fantastic
prizes for placing first in their category, they’ll also win a holiday for two on Heron Island!
There are plenty of fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners of each category, including
vouchers from Kmart Gladstone, McDonalds and a Deportment and Grooming Course,
courtesy of the Australian Etiquette School. Winners of the Junior, Tween and Teen
categories will also receive a Model Boot Camp, thanks to Runway 7.
Nominees will need to be available on Saturday 8th April for judging at the Grand Hotel,
Sunday 9th April for rehearsals on the GPC Marina Stage and Crowning on Wednesday 12 th

Whether you are a singer, dancer, magician, acrobat or have another fantastic talent,
we want to hear from you!
The Santos GLNG & 4CC Talent Quest is a fantastic opportunity for our talented
local community to showcase their skills and be in the running to take home
some seriously awesome cash prizes.
There are two separate categories in the Talent Quest (Juniors – 15 years and under, and
Seniors – 16 years and over) with the following prizes up for grabs..
Junior 1st Prize: $350
Junior 2nd Prize: $200
Junior 3rd Prize: $100
Senior 1st Prize: $600
Senior 2nd Prize: $300
Senior 3rd Prize: $150
Overall Audience Appeal: $250
Encouragement Award: $200
The following judging criteria will be taken into consideration by our judges:
• Audience Appeal
• Originality/Interpretation
• Presentation
• Performance Ability
Nominees would also need to be available on Monday 10th April for rehearsals at the
Marina Main Stage (4:30pm for Juniors, 5:30pm for Seniors)
