˙To promote Hong Kong Observatory and its services to the public.
˙To provide science extension activities in relation to the works of
the Observatory.
˙To foster communication between the Observatory and the public,
so we can know more about the needs of the public in our services.
ACTIVITIES AND FREE MAILINGS
˙Activities include popular science lectures, visit to the Hong Kong
Observatory or other institutions related to meteorology,
tea-gatherings, crossword puzzles, quizzes and many more.
˙Members will receive “Friends’ Newsletter” and other general
publications from the Observatory (Hong Kong address only).

APPLICATION METHOD
All applicants should fill the form clearly and enclose completed enrollment form and send to: Hong Kong Observatory, 134A
Nathan Road, Kowloon. Write Down ‘Friends of the Observatory’ on the envelope to minimize delay.
MEMBERSHIP
Friends of the Observatory are divided into individual member and family member.
Individual member must be over 15 years old;
Family member should compose of two or more members of the same family, with one of them over 15 years old as the main
member.
