Installation Rush Triggered by Feed-in-tariff Reduction
in 2014
•
•
On 31 December 2014, Onshore Wind Power Benchmark Feed-in-Tariff Reduction Policy is formally
announced .
The feed-in-tariff for tier 1, 2 and 3 wind resources zones was cut by CNY 0.02/kWh, to CNY 0.49/kWh, CNY
0.52/kWh, and CNY 0.56/kWh, respectively. The feed-in-tariff for tier 4 zone remains at CNY 0.61/kWh.

New Policy of Power System Reform was Released
•
On 15 March 2015, Chinese Government released "Opinions on Deepening the Reformation of Electricity System"
•
It officially defined the operation model of grid enterprises: they no longer make profit based on price gap between feed-in-tariff and retailing price
of electricity, but charge transmission fee based on government approved price level. The open of power dispatching and power selling business
may bring market opportunity to domestic distributed energy resource, and enhance the development of new energy in a long run.

NEA Held Energy Internet Forum, Planning to
Launch Green Energy Network
•
In mid-to-late April, 2015, NEA held three seminars to communicate and discuss the establishment of "Chinese
Energy Industry Internet Innovation Alliance" with energy related enterprises.
•
Topics of the seminars: (1)What disruptive changes will Energy Network brings? What industry development will
been brought and who will be involved? (2) How can information industry and traditional energy industry
exchange and integrate under internet way of thinking? (3) What are the short-term and medium-term direction of

capacity was required to be approved in next two years.
•
In total18 Wind farm developers have planned offshore projects in this Plan. Top 3 developers are GUODIAN (include
LONGYUAN), HUANENG, and CGN, with 26.1%, 11.4% and 8.1% of total planned projects respectively. Some local energy
companies also will increase their investment in developing offshore wind power projects, for instance FUJIAN Energy,
DALIAN Construction & Investment and HEBEI Construction & Investment.

Chinese Wind Turbine Export Overview
•
Newly exported turbine capacity is 368.75MW in 2014, dropped 46.5% compare to 2013. The cumulative
exported capacity reaches 1761.25MW.
•
Chinese turbines have exported to 28 countries across six continents. Europe, South America and North
America are the main export markets, each with over 20% share of the total exported capacity, followed by
Africa. Export to Oceania and Asia areas is relatively slow.
