evening.
The Roaring ‘20s EWI® Style
Scholastic Classic Fundraiser is
coming up later this month on April
29 at the Bernsen Community Life
Center in downtown Tulsa. I look
forward to cutting a rug with all you
flappers and gangsters at this oneof-a-kind event. This event is the
primary fundraiser for the EWI
scholarship programs. The Ways
and Means Committee has a ritzy evening planned for us
that includes dinner, live and silent auctions, and music by
Big Daddy and the Blueskickers. Be sure to invite your
Executives, co-workers, and friends to join us.
Yours truly in EWI service,
Jessica Bolen
"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."
Albert Einstein
In September at the installation meeting, I encouraged you
to “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” toward achieving your
own personal, as well as our Chapter, goals—and to have
some fun in EWI while accomplishing your goals. In
March, the EWI of Tulsa Board met for a “middle of the
road” review of our goals for the year. I am proud to report
that despite some unique challenges and surprises this
year, we are on track to meet our goals and have
presented exciting programs.
Looking for a great flapper or gangster costume for our
April meeting? For a great selection go to:
Spot Lite Magic & Costumes - 4946 E 21st St - Tulsa 712-8749
Steve Lancaster’s Top Hat Magic and Costumes- (918)
4016 S Yale Ave - Tulsa 663-5550
I would like to thank the team at Omni Air International
for hosting EWI of Tulsa in their hangar on March 11,
2010. I appreciate Teri Edmondson, The William K.
Warren Foundation for providing the invocation for the
evening. I was thrilled to learn more about the history of
Omni Air and especially the missions they complete with
the military to aid with disaster relief and the movement of
troops. Their commitment to the Tulsa community, safety
and most of all to their employees was inspiring.
IN THIS ISSUE
It was a pleasure to meet Rob Coretz, Owner and
Chairman as well as EWI Executive, and Jeff Crippen,
President and Chief Executive Officer. I would like to
thank Omni Air International for their support of EWI of
Tulsa and recognize their three representatives: Alandra
Baggett, Director of Senior Finance; Melanie Dennis,
Staff Accountant; and Kay Boswell, Staff Accountant.
Thank you again for a great Firm Night. I continue to hear

CONGRATULATIONS
Amie Schlosberg and her husband, Richard,

lbs. 9 oz. and is 21 inches long. Congratulations to

Happy new mom, Lesa Johnson, Ways & Means

Angie Walters, B/C/DP Director, says, “EWISP still
needs one $25 gift card from Charleston’s for the
judges. ASIST is also in need of three $25 gift
certificate/cards from any restaurant for their
judges. Thank you for any help you can give.”
Dear EWI Sisters,
Thank you so very much for the flowers, all the
cards, and the phone calls I received when I had my
knee replacement surgery! Everyone was so sweet
and thoughtful. It really made me feel so good that I
healed quickly. I treasure my EWI friendships!!!
Again, thank you!

Releasing Leadership Brilliance - Simon Bailey
Note Special Time: 1:00 pm (CST)
Overcome that sense of being stuck…Repotting Yourself
is born from decades of sales experience, teaching, and
coaching. You may identify with the stories in a way that
will unlock the mysterious and make it the norm, allowing
you to “live life full-throttle.”
Releasing Leadership Brilliance is designed to transform
the roles of leaders in your organization by igniting a
leadership culture characterized by engaged, connected
leaders who are able to share their vision, release
control, and enable employees to release their unique
brilliance. This program enables participants to discover
and develop their brilliance as leaders so they can inspire
engaged commitment that enables employees to
achieve new levels of production and results. Simon has
been called a true change catalyst who has inspired
thousands of people to find their passion, take action, and
make their lives and their organizations more productive.
Mary Lou Dobbs, EWI of Albuquerque, was moved to write
Repotting Yourself so she could share the story of how
she gave up a life of struggle. She shares in her book how
women can break away from self-imposed limitations,
slumps, and a root-bound mentality while discovering
financial and emotional independence. The author writes
about women who have chosen an exciting next stage and
discusses coaching techniques to motive women to thrive
and flourish by giving up the safe and predictable.
An internationally known speaker, author and consultant,
Simon T. Bailey inspires individuals to take charge of
change and transform their lives from the inside out. A
thought leader and fresh voice in the businesses world,
Bailey connects the dots between individual and
organizational brilliance. He challenges and teaches
businesses and organizations to clear obstacles to
brilliance in their cultures, processes, and people, thereby
achieving higher levels of engagement, retention, and
productivity – and a brilliant bottom line.
