Tour program for Hereford conference.

Start: April 11 From Billund Airport we fly with KLM so the main EU airport is Amsterdam*.
April 12 to April 15:
The tour starts in Sao Paulo in Brazil. After a good night's sleep, and breakfast, we head through Brazil's
most fertile regions. During the trip we come through Brazil's major sugar cane, orange plantations and
some coffee plantations. We get to experience Brazil's natural beauty, with palm trees, flowering trees,
mountains, valleys, rivers and small towns. We take an overnight about halfway and then further to Foz de
Iguazú. Here awaits you with a memorable experience when you go out to see the world's largest waterfall,
the beautiful and amazing Iguazú Falls.
April 16:
We drive to Montevideo (a trip of 1500km). Drive through the mountainous terrain in the south of Brazil.
Here peasants grow a little wine and is very fertile. The wine does not have the same taste as the one we
are used to in Europe. We cross the border to Uruguay and it becomes more flat. A part of this journey is
driven at night.
April 17:
Arrival at the hotel in Montevideo in the afternoon. After this it by the program of the conference.
April 18 to April 23:
Program according to the Conference.
April 24:
Conference ends and after packing the bus, we drive towards Santa Fe in Argentina. Some of this trip will
be night driving (850km).
April 25:
We start with lodging in to freshen us up. Next, we visit a farm with Hereford herd in the area north of
Santa Fe. We live on the banks of the Paraná River. For people with more energy, there is possibility for
fishing late in the day.
April 26:
We now take the trip north, parallel to the Paraná River. In the area here is grown some rice, and there are
also some large cattle farmers in the area. We go visit one of each. The day ends in Corrientes in the north
of Argentina just south of Paraguay.
April 27:
Today We see swamp - areas. We also pass South America's second largest water powerplant Yacyrata,
located on the border between Paraguay and Argentina. The day ends in the Paraguayan city of Pilar.
April 28:
In Pilar live a very active Dane Bent Erling Jakobsen. Him we must visit and hear about how he keeps
cattle. It will be completely different than it has so far experienced.

April 29 to May 2:
Now we head to Juan Leon Mallorquin. From here organized various trips to eg hydroelectric power plant
Itaipu and Iguazu waterfall from Argentina site. This has, inter alia possibility to buy an experience of the
great, if you want to see Iguazú Falls and the beautiful view from above with a helicopter. We get to taste
some of the local dishes, and comes on a walk in the jungle on the guides own country house.
May 3:
Departure from Foz de Iguazú to Denmark
May 4:
Back in Billund Denmark.

This trip is approximately 5.000 km, it sounds like a lot, but some is at night. Is run in a very comfortable
bus, which is very common in this area.
The price of this trip will be 5.000 €. / Per. pers. in a double room. And 4840 € for the spouse (surcharge
for single 460 €). The price applies to 10 October. Then the price rises.
There is deposit of 820 €.
The tour includes: Transportation by air and bus, participation in the conference, entrance tickets to
activities mentioned in the program, full board only with breakfast during the stay in Uruguay.
Not included: beverage, helicopter, boat trips, and other activities not mentioned in the program.
Subject to the order, as some of the excursions depends on the weather.
* It is possible to start the trip from another European airport, it may be associated with additional costs.
