How many buses does Hopkinsville Transit run?
Three twelve-passenger, handicapped accessible buses: the Red Line, the Blue Line and the Orange Line.
What hours do the buses run?
Buses leave the Hopkinsville Transit terminal, from the corner of Clay and 11th Streets, starting at 5:00 a.m. with
the last runs leaving the terminal at 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday). Please see our Maps & Schedules for

How do I pay to ride the bus?
For single rides, please pay drivers as you enter the bus. Discounted weekly or monthly passes are also
available for purchase from the Hopkinsville Transit terminal, at the corner of Clay and 11 th Streets. Please see

Where can I buy a weekly or monthly bus pass?
Discounted weekly or monthly passes (giving you unlimited rides) may be purchased at the Hopkinsville Transit
terminal, at the corner of Clay and 11th Streets. No pro-rated bus passes are available. Please see

How often do buses leave the Hopkinsville Transit terminal?
Buses leave the terminal at the top of every hour.
How old must I be to ride the bus alone?
12 years or older
May my pet ride the bus with me?
Your pet may only be allowed on board a Hopkinsville Transit bus if it is a properly controlled “Service Animal.”
How far in advance do I have to schedule my trip if it deviates from a fixed route?
You must call (270) 890-6055 at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a route deviation.
Does my child have to be in a car seat or booster?
Yes, children under 40 inches tall must be in an approved child or infant seat for transport. Children under
seven years of age and between 40 and 50 inches tall must be in a booster seat for transport. Hopkinsville
Transit does not supply car seats or booster seats.
Will weather affect bus routes?
During inclement weather conditions, Hopkinsville Transit may suspend services or operate on a limited
basis. Please check local media outlets for service updates.
