The story of the ‘Sun Wizard’ From a Villager’s point of view One day in our village something horrid happened. Someone took night time away! That night was a very special night, the night that the Wishing Shooting Star would come, but the Sun Wizard had taken night away and we were very worried. We felt frustrated, disappointed and cross because all the children were so tired, but could not get to sleep. So, we wrote an anxious letter to the Sun Wizard to tell him we need the Night Watchman back and how upset we were. He listened to us and gave it back. The shooting star came, we made our wishes and had a big celebration party. Now we have both night and day every day! By Red 2 The story of the ‘Sun Wizard’ From the Sun Wizard’s point of view I wanted it to be sunny all day long, so I looked through my Spell Book and found the right one. Now it was day time forever! I felt so happy and thought that the villagers loved it too. But I was wrong. They were shocked and grumpy. They sent me a letter and told me to come down and bring my Spell Book. They tricked me and took it off me and tore out the special page. The spell broke and it was night again. I was annoyed and upset, but I got to listen to their celebrations. I guess I was confused, but they were determined not to be in the sun all the time! By Blue 2 The story of the ‘Sun Wizard’ From the Night Watchman’s point of view I was sitting up in the black, starry sky as usual. Suddenly, I fell down in horror because it was my job to shine at night, but the Sun Wizard had sent down a letter to the villagers to tell them that it would never, ever be night again. I was shocked and terrified that it would always be sunny. The children were daydreaming instead of night-dreaming, very tired and upset that they were going to miss the Wishing Shooting Star. So they asked me to get the Sun Wizard to come down and speak to the people of the village. They told him of all the bad things that would happen. The Sun Wizard looked at the villagers and could see they were upset and he felt sorry. So he made it be night. I was floating up again into the sky just in time for the Wishing Star! By Yellow 2
