Now that you have your five words, you don’t want to just write a list that is
generic and sounds like everyone else. If you can, think of an example each
time you’ve demonstrated this strength and write it in a sentence format. It also
makes it easier to talk about yourself during an interview.
Examples of Skill Statements:
 Displayed leadership skills while supervising youth soccer games
 Adapted easily to new situations such as new POS system, and was
able to train eight other staff after receiving training
 Gets along well with other people, and organized social committee
 Works well with minimal supervision as evidenced by working closing
shifts alone.
