“EL MUNDO HISPANOHABLANTE” RESEARCH PROJECT
OBJECTIVE: To create a PowerPoint presentation highlighting
important and interesting facts about an assigned Spanish-speaking
country.
PROCEDURES: Students will work in pairs in order to complete this
project in the following steps:
1) Choose/be assigned a partner and a Spanish-speaking country in
class.
2) Begin researching, both in class and outside of school,
information about your country (see next page/rubric for more
details)
3) Plan and create a PowerPoint presentation to present your
country to the class. This work will also be conducted both in
school as well as outside of school.
4) Each presentation should be insightful, informative and
creative, and should stimulate a desire to travel to the country
researched. Relevant pictures need to be included!
5) At the conclusion of your presentation, be prepared to take
and answer questions from your classmates (if they should have
any). Each student in the pair must provide insightful
information about their research and project.
Note: I encourage all students to visit the Media center at our school as
well as your local library to access a wide variety of print resources. Our
school has many world encyclopedias as well as books about specific
Spanish-speaking countries at your disposal. Your local library’s librarian
will be able to pull books for you to use as well.
