In the next months we would like to report up-close and on a regular basis from different kindergartens and show you, how
children discover the world in a playful way with our toys and by doing so, learn the different educational areas. We will be
visiting various kindergartens to play together with the children. In September we were the kindergarten “Knirpsenhaus” in
Marienberg, accompanied by 4 big surprise packages, to spend a joyful gaming-morning with the children. The goal was to
collect as many points as possible while playing different games. Among other games, the children played our co-operation
game “Heavy Hippos” and our nominated move and action game “Move & Twist”.
As our very special game highlight 2014, we would like to
introduce to you “Heavy Hippos”. The main characters are
six hippos, which in wild nature can only be found in SubSaharan Africa.With “Heavy Hippos”, however, they get access
to kindergartens in a fun way. The unique co-operation game
inspires with its “weighty” topic, first and foremost. Hippos
can reach a weight between 1.000 and 4.500 kilograms. The
goal of the game is to bring all the hippos, which are different
in weight, together to the finish. By that especially social skills
and team spirit are being promoted. Many children have already
taken the cute heavyweights to their hearts in the everyday
kindergarten life and send their playful “Hello” to you.
During the gaming-morning in the “Knirpsenhaus” children first
proved their sensomotoric abilities with the game “Heavy Hippos”.
Initially to differentiate the hippos by weight and bring
them to their right spot is a challenge. With the right amount
of concentration, communication and team spirit you can
certainly master this task. The children had a lot of fun, to feel
the appealing hippo-figures, exchange ideas, which hippo is
light, average and heavy in weight and finally bring them to
pass the finish line.
At the end of the gaming-morning the points were counted
and of course there was a reward from beleduc. Stephanie
Eckert und Stephanie Erber handed out the four surprise
packages, which con-tained games, puzzles, hand puppets and
arts and crafts items from beleduc. The joy of the children had no
boundaries. The next gaming-morning in another kindergarten is
already in the planning stages und we will report to you again
from “beleduc on tour”.
