Justification:
Gekko smithii has been assessed as Least Concern because of its wide range, the fact that threats are
unlikely to be impacting this species on a global scale, and because it is able to tolerate degraded
habitat. Further research should, however, be carried out to determine population and habitat status.

Range Description:
This species has been recorded from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Myanmar.

Sarawak); Myanmar; Singapore; Thailand

This species inhabits forest and forested areas.
Systems: Terrestrial
Threats
It is unlikely that a major threat is causing significant declines in this species across its range.

This species currently has no conservation measures in place for it. It may be found in protected areas in
parts of its range. More research is needed into its taxonomy, habitat status and threats.
