What’s happening at
Hastings Park this summer!
This summer is looking to be one of the best yet. We hope your family will enjoy everything that Hastings Park,
Playland and the Fair at the PNE has to offer!
Here are some highlights of things taking place this summer:
 Playland has a NEW ride.. Will you dare to try it...The Beast, Canada’s most extreme pendulum ride
 The Fair at the PNE will be taking place Saturday August 22– September 7, 2015
- The Fair will be closed Monday August 24 & 31
- New this year, the Coliseum will host the Broadway Show- Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby
- There will be three amazing exhibits including the Beatles, Superhero Discovery Centre, and
Dinosaurs Alive
- Summer night concert series has been released and includes: Lee Brice, Hall N Oates, Beach Boys,
Boyz ll Men, and much more. Remember if you are super fan, reserved seats can be purchased
- Also new for this year we will launch our Craft Beer Festival
- Other favorites will be the Community Showcase, Art in the Park, Dueling Pianos, the Mosaic Music
series, 4-H, Prize Home, and of course Super Dogs
- Food is always a Fair favorite. This year the PNE will be previewing Chicken and Waffles!
- Numerous promotional days!

tickets.. Also June dates will allow you to claim your invitation to the NEW PNE Neighbourhood Party at Playland!

Empire Field & Greenways
At Playland
Many changes are being seen on the east side of
Hastings Park- Plateau Sports Park and green
ways now open to the public!
June 26 from 7-10pm
The synthetic turf fields and parking area will continue to be closed to the public until July 7 as FIFA
Women’s World Cup will be using the space.
The Plateau Sports Park area has outdoor fitness
equipment, playgrounds for all ages, basketball,
ping pong, parkour, beach volleyball and more.
The running/ jogging track and most bike greenways connecting the park to the neighbourhood
are also now accessible for the public to use.
Some small areas are still under construction so
please be aware of fenced areas.
Grand Opening for Empire Fields will be Saturday

PNE Donut Dash
Want to get running but enjoy some treats along the way,
join the PNE in it’s inaugural PNE Donut Dash 5 km run,
presented by TRY Events.
This will be the tastiest 5 km you will experience… along
your run you will enjoy mini donuts, cotton candy and
more.
