AMERICAN LIT. CONTENT EXAM ONE
You can use the following DURING your exam: 1) literary criticism notes, 2) The Crucible
character map, and 3) one 4x6 notecard filled w/ handwritten notes front and back
This exam will have three (3) different parts. You are required to only choose one (1) option
from each part. This means that you will have three (3) answers total. Part I does not require
complete sentences and should be answered in the form of a list (not complete sentences).
Parts II and III are short essay responses and must have the following:
- 7 to 10 sentences
- Uses a topic sentence, evidence/arguments, concluding sentence format
- Utilizes correct grammar and language mechanics (spelling will not be graded)
You will be graded on the following (each portion is worth 5 points):

Accuracy of your response (statements are true to the reading materials and notes)

the character faces, the motivation behind his or her actions, discoveries he or she
makes, and any changes the character undergoes. Provide or reference examples from
the play.
