The Relationship Big Picture
Multi-entity relationships are a common
occurrence in commercial lending; they
are a CreditQuest strength. The system
gives users immediate insight into total
credit exposure for the full borrower

choose to have closely related parties
such as borrowers and guarantors total to

Credit Policy
CreditQuest Credit Manager has the ability to automatically validate
each credit facility against an institution’s credit policies, thereby
ensuring uniform credit policy application amongst staff. The credit
policy validation can be configured to recommend a decision or to
make decisions automatically.
Policy elements include the specific credit characteristics, such as
loan amount, LTV, borrower FICO scores, borrower or credit risk
rating, net worth, debt to worth ratio, type of credit or collateral,
etc., and can be configured for evaluation.
Credit policies can be configured to allow specific users or roles
(such as senior credit administrator) to override a decision. In such
instances, CreditQuest Credit Manager logs the override, the user
who overrode and requires justification. These items are logged,
allowing an audit trail that tracks which credit applications had an
override and who approved the override. Standard reports provide
risk managers and senior executives with detailed data regarding
adherence to credit policies across the loan portfolio.
As with credit policy validation, lending limits can be configured
with simple or complex rules. For example, the administrator may
want to grant junior officers approval up to $100,000 provided the
LTV is less than 75%, and it is a an approved facility and collateral
type. Conversely, for every situation, the system can help to identify
who has the needed authority so that credit can be processed
most efficiently and get the credit application to the right person as
quickly as possible.
Exception Management: Ticklers, Alerts, Checklists
CreditQuest Credit Manager provides comprehensive exception
management with alerts displayed instantly on the Desktop. This
enables users to quickly identify situations requiring attention and
serves as a constant reminder to all users of the specific risk items
to which they need to attend.

rules, ensuring only the appropriate personnel make the actual
lending decisions.

Easy Credit Memo Creation
CreditQuest Credit Manager automatically organizes your data and
assembles notes entered into a professional-looking credit memo
document. The credit memo also includes up-to-the-minute host
data, as CreditQuest Credit Manager updates account information
from your host each time users bring a borrower into focus.
Users can preview the credit memo at any time, and, by clicking
embedded links, can navigate to the appropriate screen to add or
modify any of the data or text comments to refine the write-up.
Administrators can tailor credit memo templates for different types
of lending, such as for individual, small business or corporate
borrowers, or differentiated by credit or collateral type lending,
thereby ensuring the right format is used.
CreditQuest Credit Manager offers a suite of standard credit memo
template modules, and provides a template designer to further
customize presentations. The end result is high-quality document
presentation to help users make better informed credit decisions.
Security and Audit
The system provides finely engrained security that limits who can
see what screen and what types of information within the system.
In addition, processes and actions can be limited to a specific
authorized individual or group. Logs are maintained for most
workflow activity so users know who performed the step and how
long it took.
Reports
Whether its application activity, workflow, account balances or
exception activity, having all the data in a single database provides
for powerful reporting capabilities. A user-friendly reporting tool
is provided to enable access and analysis to any system data.
Reports can be created in a variety of output formats.
Access to reports can be controlled by permitting users to create
reports on-demand with the latest data, but also can be restricted
to content that is permitted to them.
Part of the CreditQuest Suite
CreditQuest Credit Manager works hand-in-hand with the other
parts of the CreditQuest suite. Data entered once, anywhere in the
suite, will be held in the central database and reused.
• CreditQuest Financial Analyzer – Financial statement spreads
and covenants may be accessed and automatically incorporated
into credit memos.
• CreditQuest Rating Manager – Used to risk rate entities,
the rating results and commentary may be made accessible or
incorporated in to credit memos.
• CreditQuest Portfolio Manager – All data loaded into
CreditQuest Portfolio Manager is organized by account, and all
related accounts and history are presented, which saves time and
presents account history.
