TRULY ABSOLUTE
BACK TO SCHOOL
A LETTER FROM OUR WONDERFUL PRESIDENT:
Happy back to school, everyone! On behalf of the Truly Absolute, Inc
directors, welcome to the new school year. We are so excited to have
our school year sessions starting up again, and can't wait to see what
the new year brings. I want to share a couple updates and goals that we
have for the new year. First of all, the Dallas region has been off to such
a great start. We are currently chartering a student organization in the
area. Secondly, I would like to give a warm welcome to the new Crean
Lutheran Student Branch located in Southern California! They just had
their first every meeting and had over 40 volunteers in attendance!
Finally, the Cambodia branch. We are continuing to support the
students of the villages of Cambodia, and will be going on another
service trip there during the summer of 2016 to get the new school
running. As my 18th (on this earth) year comes to a close, I would like to thank
all of the volunteers, donators, and supporters for continually pushing
Truly Absolute to be the best organization that it can be. We're going to
have a great year, and I can truly say that I am honored to be in such
great company! Sincerely,
Rebecca Tjahja

Learning is limitless in Anaheim —>
TA DANCE PROGRAM
Our hard-working Anaheim volunteers are welcoming in the new year with
an enormous amount of enthusiasm for what the new year will bring. The
volunteers at this branch stay centered in their goal to provide each
student with personalized lessons, focusing especially on the subject he
or she struggles with most. Currently the volunteers visit the motel every
Tuesday and aim to cater to individual needs rather than following a
standard lesson plan for every student. Branch director, Melissa Mateos,
shares the wonderful news that one of Anaheim's own students,
Christopher, received a scholarship to attend math supplement classes at
Kumon free of charge, while another Anaheim student, Terese, was
recently accepted into the GATE program. The 2015 school year is off to
a great start in Anaheim!

Santa Ana was the place to be

Truly Absolute Dance Program
is passionate about allowing
children to reach their full
potential by allowing them to
fully express themselves in
and out of the classroom. Each
child shines in a different light
and we are grateful for the
volunteers that give them the
opportunities to find their
unique and wonderful talents.
DALLAS, TX
As fall rolls in and the leaves change colors, so do our creative students’
hands! In Buena Park, the school year is just now kicking off and the
excitement to reconnect with friends and to learn more is at an all-timehigh. Along with the passion for painting that has come with the new
season, our Buena Park branch director Tiffany Pan tells us that some
math addition problems have been the talk of the month. Our volunteers
are so excited to come along side these students and to help them excel in
all areas of their lives. There is nothing but good things to come from this
new year!
Creativity is sparking in Cambodia—>

semester will be on creating hygiene and other necessity packs for the
students. The volunteers in Cambodia are working diligently to develop

[HERE’S THE DEAL WITH THE HAWAIIAN GARDENS BRANCH]
Hello, everyone!
We at the Hawaiian Gardens Branch are so happy
to announce to you all that we have started
sessions for the 2015-2016 school year! Last
Friday, we were able to introduce two of our
volunteers to the students of the Lee Ware
Community Center where our sessions are held.
We were joined by many students, but two
students in particular needed assistance in math
and spelling specifically.
As tutors for Truly Absolute, we want to be able to
help students with specific subjects that they need
assistance in, and to help them grow and develop
as a whole.
We will be continuing our Academic Enrichment
Program at the Lee Ware Community Center until
the end of the school year, and will be hopefully
implementing another program at our branch very
soon!
Thank you all for your continuous support, and if
you're interested in volunteering or signing up for
sessions at our branch, please make sure to
contact [email protected]!
