Year 6 Times Table & Inverse Homework
Alongside regular practice of the table/s and inverse facts you are focusing on at home, for
the next two weeks we'd like you to...
create a visual representation of the multiplication and division facts for the 12 times
table.
When planning and executing your homework, focus on the fact that this needs to be a
helpful resource that the whole class will enjoy using when they visit the maths wall.
Therefore, it should be:
 clear
 neat
 bright
 accurate
Here are a couple of examples for other numbers, to give you some ideas:
Feel free to add extra layers of understanding by:


incorporating your strategy for solving your 12 times tables e.g. doubling the
answers to your 6 times tables
incorporating your understanding of the role of place value by adding extra stages
e.g. multiplying 12 by 20, 200 and 2000 as well as 2
This is to be brought in and displayed on the class interactive maths mastery wall – the
sooner the better so it can be celebrated and benefit everyone’s learning. Otherwise,
